I have just finished a full test and factory alignment of the #1 deck, including new rollers from Athan and heads re-lapped by John Austin; Tape Head Relapping, Repair – JMA Audio, a complete report is included below. All tensions have been set, heads aligned, repro/sync electronics aligned and record bias set for RTM 900 and record aligned. Purchase price includes delivery and 6 month warranty and up to 2 service calls, if within 300 miles of Seattle. If shipping is required beyond 300 miles, it is at the expense of the buyer and service calls are no longer included in the purchase price.
All 24 channels work flawlessly, tape movement is smooth and it sounds great. This is a great deck and can be put to work today. Videos below show its operation:
